7. the meditation
Translation of the Sanskrit word "dhyana", its meaning comes to be: continuous flow of thought towards an object of concentration. This object can be a Word, an image, a concept, or own breath. When it comes to a Word, this is called mantra. The word "OM" is the sacred syllable of hindu philosophy, and symbolizes the Brama (sound of the universe). If we use it as a mantra, need to say it again and again (always in multiples of 3). However, always we can choose a word that inspires devotion to us, or simply concentrate on our breathing rhythm.
Conditions for a good meditation:
1-regularity: is important, to do it properly, practice it daily (ideally, two times a day, in the same place, and at the same times).
2-place: try to be always the same. If possible, a separate room. If not, a corner can serve. Try to make this place as pleasant as possible, decorate it with objects that convey us tranquility and meditation (always avoiding excesses). We have comfortable, sit with your back straight. We can put before us, and at the height of the eyes, a lamp or a candle (the flame is often used as a tool of meditation). We can also use incense because its smell is very inspiring.
3-hour: better during the morning, sleeps the rest, and they will not bother us. In any case, most importantly that the schedule is stable (always practiced at the same time).
4-duration: initially, 10-15 minutes can be enough. It is essential to achieve a good concentration. With practice, we will gradually lengthening.
5-posture: avoid painful or uncomfortable positions. We have to put us in a position that we can keep in a relaxed way, without effort. The back should be straight. If we fail, we can rely on a Chair or wall. With practice we must make sit without any support. The hands will be on the lap or knees, the back of the right hand into the left Palm, and thumbs touching slightly.
6-clothing: comfortable and suitable to the temperature of the place of meditation.
We are going with a series of exercises of meditation:
1 meditation exercise base: use the flame of a candle for focus. Initially, we have staring at the flame, and try to burn us the image of the flame in our mind, preferably at the height of the eyebrows, which is the area of the third eye of the oriental culture. We can take a few minutes to burn the image. Do we already have it? As we are going with the practice
2 meditation with imagination: we must imagine ourselves in a nice place, to transmit peace and tranquillity. Stretch comfortably, with your eyes closed. See and feel in detail everything that surrounds us, sounds, smells and aromas, the heat of the Sun.
3 meditation in nature: If we go to the field, outside somewhere, can, to meditate, let us focus on some nice element surrounding us: observe the course of a river, let us look at the surface of a Lake, listen to the sound of the rain, or the whisper of the wind...
4. body meditation drawn: we will draw our body with the imagination. Put us in a comfortable position, stretched and relaxed.
5 meditation of colors: our object of meditation will be, now, the different colors of the Rainbow
6. the rose meditation: imagine, for our exercise of relaxation and meditation, a rose
