The cake of meat or shepherd's pie is a traditional British cuisine dish quite hearty and full of flavor.
Its main ingredients are the lamb and potatoes. It is a dish emblem of English cuisine, which fills our stomach in no time at all.
The shepherd's pie is translated as "pastor cake" by being made this meat. But this animal protein by others as the beef could be replaced (cottage pie), birds and even fish (fisherman's foot).

Preparation of the meatloaf style shepherd's pie

  • Let's start the preparation of British meat pie making mashed potatoes. Place the potatoes clean and cut into pieces in a saucepan with abundant water and let us fire high for 20 minutes.
  • When our potatoes are still hot and soft we passed them to a large bowl and we make puree using a food mill or fork.
