Increasingly there are more people who, for whatever reason, they decide to stop taking their diet to start with a vegetarian diet.
While it is true that some studies have shown that in ordinary diets is abused much animal protein, it is also true that this happens by having a little balanced diet. However, does the vegetarian diet cover all our needs?
Types of vegetarian diets
What is known as a vegetarian diet is only a generalization, since there are basically three types of vegetarian diets. We can differentiate between the strict vegetarian diet, diet lacto vegetarian and lacto-ovo vegetarian diet. The strict vegetarian diet is one in which all types of meat and animal products are excluded from it without exception. This means that people who want to make this kind of diets will have to find a good balance between the vegetarian products to offer your body all the vitamins and minerals it needs.
Diet lacto vegetarian is one in which, in addition to vegetables, including foods derived from milk. This diet, although not completely vegetarian, offers more minerals and vitamins our bodies, so that we can be calmer when selecting vegetables food to offer our bodies need. Milk derivatives have many minerals and vitamins, so the weight of the balance will not fall simply on vegetables.
Needs of the body
Any of these diets, if done properly, will help us to have a better health, to feel more agile and provide all the nutrients that our body needs. However, we must bear in mind that the diet will work properly and do not have problems of anemia due to lack of nutrients, we find in those plant products the amount of nutrients that we are missing and that would give us excluded from the vegetarian diet food. For this reason, it is important that we select those plant products that have more intake of protein, iron, zincvitamin B12 and calcium. If we do not exactly know the needs of our body and the amount of nutrients that takes each food, the best thing we can do is not to endanger our health and go to a nutritionist, who will be responsible for offering the best diet for our needs.
